A Focus on Twists, Forward Folds & Side Bends

Join me for a  2-hour yoga workshop dedicated to exploring three essential movement patterns: twists, forward bends, and side bends. These foundational postures are key to building strength, flexibility, and mobility in the body while also promoting balance and relaxation. 

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explore Twists: Learn how to safely and effectively integrate twists into your practice. Twisting poses help improve spinal mobility, and release tension in the back and shoulders. We'll focus on building awareness around alignment to ensure a safe and effective twist, with variations to suit different levels.

  • Delve into Forward Bends: Forward bends are wonderful for lengthening the spine, improving flexibility in the hamstrings, and calming the nervous system. We’ll break down common forward bending poses like Uttanasana (Standing Forward Fold), Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold), and others, exploring techniques to deepen the stretch safely while maintaining proper posture.

  • Master Side Bends: Side bending poses open up the sides of the body, stretch the intercostal muscles between the ribs, and help relieve tension in the shoulders and hips. You’ll discover how side bends support your overall posture and alignment, making them essential for long-term mobility and comfort in daily life.

This workshop is ideal for anyone seeking to increase body awareness, improve flexibility, and leave feeling more open and energized. Whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this workshop offers tools to enhance your movement

Like all workshops, all levels of experience are welcome.  Come with an open mind, ready to explore.  There will be time for questions and the session will be tailored to suit the group.
